Joy in Movement!

Why Fletcher Pilates?

There is a reason my colleagues/friends chose to learn Fletcher Pilates. What attracted me most was the discipline and joy in movement in the work. There is strength yet grace in the teachers' movements, regardless of whether he or she has a dance background.

It's not merely an exercise. It's a movement - a fluid movement, which is also one of the principles of Pilates.

The main highlights of Fletcher Pilates has been summarised succinctly by Kyria in here:

"The body's ability to move, with balance, grace and strength is one of the great treasures of living."

Movement should be approached like life - with enthusiasm, joy and gratitude – for movement is life and life is movement, and we get out of it what we put into it.”
